I suspect that you are going to need a better argument than that, but I will leave that up to you. If you don't, then...well, you don't. That sounded like a threat, didn't it ?! Ha ha, got you!

See, I have never actually paid attention to “elevator music”, possibly because I never lived on a 2nd floor. But again I suspect that people in Iran have and they have managed to put Yanni’s music on during that time. Now, it might be true that most people associate “piano” with “elevator music”, but comparing a world class musician to someone whose lifelong dream might have been composing for lift-off, is something only an Iranian could do!

Now, Yanni does suck in many ways. You just picked the wrong one! “Elevator music” as you put, has proven effective in many research institutes in improving serious diseases like torrents syndrome, personality disorders and especially a certain-sense-of-ignorance-towards-elevator-music syndrome! Did you know that ? AHA, you didn't.

Plus, people generally associate this sort of thing with Mozart and brag about how having a 2 year old listen to Mozart at night could improve math function and what a genius Mozart must have been. What they don't consider is that the same 2 year old 50 years later will turn out to be the most uncool person you might ever meet! You might think Mozart was a genius, but his listeners are so boring you'd rather watch piss dry. You think Yanni sucks, but his listeners, yours truly, are probably amongst your biggest lifelong idols and personality role models.
